Working Group on the Future of the Williams-Mystic Program

Charge

The Working Group on the Future of the Williams-Mystic Program is charged with generating viable ideas to transform the program into one that is financially sustainable while continuing to advance the academic mission of the college. The Working Group will propose ideas to the president, who will decide whether they are feasible and viable, so as to justify the college’s renewal of its contractual relationship with the Mystic Seaport Museum and continued financial support of the Williams-Mystic program.

If the president finds a Working Group proposal sufficiently feasible and viable to justify supporting Williams-Mystic beyond June 2025, then the president, in consultation with the Working Group and Senior Staff, will determine clear benchmarks and timelines for the realization of those ideas.
